Philadelphia Cathedral Chapter and Congregation Hold Retreat

On Saturday, May 30th, eight members of the Cathedral Chapter and a cross-section of the Cathedral Congregation met to consider “what is the present and future vision and mission for our cathedral and the place of our congregation as the spiritual core of the cathedral.”

2009 Summer Noonday Organ Concert Series

Philadelphia Cathedral is pleased to announce its 2009 Summer Organ Concert Series every Wednesday at 12:30pm beginning July 8 through August 12. The organ concerts will be preceded by the Noon Eucharist.

Festival to Welcome Bishop Michel

Highlights of the this year’s Festival include an Art Exhibition and Concert followed by a welcoming ceremony and reception for The Rt. Rev. Rodney R. Michel, Assisting Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. Civic leaders and representatives from various faith traditions will also be participating in the ceremony.

Members of the Diocese are invited to participate in the Rites of Christian Initiation at the Cathedral on Saturday, June 6, beginning 10am. Candidates for baptism, confirmation, reception, or reaffirmation of baptismal vows are welcome at this diocesan service, which is in lieu of a service originally scheduled for May 30.
